Google Pixel 11a leaks in CAD renders, and its biggest upgrade may be inside

The first CAD renders of the Google Pixel 11a, published by Android Headlines, suggest that Google is keeping the look of its recent A-series phones. The dual rear cameras still sit almost flush with the back, with the flash beside them, although the camera cutout appears a little shorter and more oval than before. The flat sides and fairly thick display bezels also look familiar. These are early renders, so Google has yet to confirm the design.

The reported dimensions are 153.46 × 72.35 × 9 mm, making the Pixel 11a slightly shorter and narrower than the Pixel 10a while retaining the same listed thickness. Four colors are expected: black, silver, green and purple. Names such as Obsidian and Fog have been suggested, but the final branding remains unknown. The small size difference also means Pixel 10a cases may not fit, though that cannot be established from CAD measurements alone.

The more meaningful change could be the processor. According to the leak, the Pixel 11a will move from the Tensor G4 used by the Pixel 10a to the Tensor G6 found in the Pixel 11 series. A MediaTek modem, Titan M3 security chip and 8 GB of RAM are also tipped. The phone is expected to retain a 6.3-inch display with a 60–120 Hz refresh rate, while peak brightness could rise to 3,350 nits. None of those specifications has been announced by Google.

A leaked minimum battery capacity of 4,870 mAh points to an advertised figure of around 5,000 mAh, but that remains an estimate. The rear cameras have not been confirmed either; a 48 MP main camera and 13 MP ultrawide would match the Pixel 10a, while the front camera may change. The Pixel 11a is expected next spring, with no confirmed launch date or price. For now, the story is familiar on the outside and considerably more promising under the hood.
