OnePlus is giving its next flagship a visual reset. The newly revealed OnePlus 16 replaces the familiar circular camera module with a rounded-square island that feels more organized, even if it still contains plenty of hardware. Two lenses sit inside a vertical black capsule, while a third camera and the flash occupy separate circular cutouts.
The standout finish is Tomorrow’s Starlight, a pearlescent white model with delicate contour-like patterns across its rear glass. OnePlus combines nano-grating textures with directional reflections, allowing the surface to shift subtly as light moves across it. A matte “Silk Glass” treatment should keep fingerprints under control without hiding the effect.

Dark gray and reddish-terracotta versions offer more restrained alternatives. The gray model gives the oversized camera island a stealthier appearance, while the warmer finish feels more fashion-oriented. Flat sides, rounded corners and slim display bezels complete a design that looks familiar from the front but much more distinctive from behind.
The OnePlus 16 is also expected to pack Qualcomm’s upcoming SM8975 platform, a custom gaming kernel and 100W charging. Those specifications may attract performance enthusiasts, but the design is doing much of the early work here. OnePlus has turned the camera bump into the phone’s defining feature while using texture and light, rather than excessive decoration, to give each version its own identity.
