The first CAD renders of the Samsung Galaxy S27 have leaked, revealing a flagship that looks remarkably familiar. Unlike the heavily redesigned Galaxy S27 Ultra, the smaller model keeps Samsung’s current individual-camera-ring approach, making the two S27 models noticeably different from the back.
The leaked CAD renders show three separate cameras arranged vertically, much like on the Galaxy S26. Samsung apparently won’t bring the Galaxy S27 Ultra’s new camera plateau to the regular S27, creating a clearer visual distinction between the two flagships. It’s an interesting choice considering Samsung has spent the past few years making its Galaxy devices look increasingly similar. The front is equally familiar, although the bezels may be marginally thinner.
Dimensions are said to be roughly 149.75 x 71.88 x 7.25 mm, virtually identical to the Galaxy S26, while the display should remain at 6.3 inches. Under the hood, things are less certain. Samsung could once again split Snapdragon and Exynos chips between markets, although recent rumors suggest the Exynos 2700 is performing strongly enough that it could potentially see wider adoption. A configuration with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is expected as the starting point.
More meaningful upgrades could happen inside. Samsung is reportedly testing a Sony sensor for the S27’s main camera, potentially ending years of relatively minor camera hardware changes on the base Galaxy S. The battery could also jump to around 4,900mAh, possibly using silicon-carbon technology. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S27 series around February 2027, with pricing still unknown, although another increase over the Galaxy S26’s $899 starting price is already being discussed.
