Samsung appears ready to take the open-ear earbuds category more seriously. New official-looking renders published by SammyGuru offer the clearest look yet at the Galaxy Buds On, a pair of clip-on wireless earbuds that won’t completely block the ear canal.
Each earbud has a two-part design, with the speaker positioned near the ear canal and a second component sitting behind the ear. A flexible silicone loop connects the two halves. The renders also reveal pogo-pin connectors used for charging inside the case. Galaxy Buds On are pictured in black, while Samsung is reportedly preparing a white version as well.
The earbuds could automatically adjust their volume based on surrounding noise and offer a separate volume boost option. More interestingly, users may be able to control certain functions with a head nod. Quick actions for launching voice recordings and accessing Galaxy AI features are reportedly included too.
Samsung has yet to confirm the Galaxy Buds On or announce a release date. Earlier rumors pointed to a launch alongside the Galaxy S26 FE, but that didn’t happen. The earbuds are now expected to arrive sometime in the fourth quarter of 2026, with pricing still unknown.
