Huawei’s upcoming Mate 90 series has appeared in a new leak that may reveal the camera arrangement planned for its different models. The image shows several templates or protective plates labeled for the Mate 90, Mate 90 Pro, Mate 90 Pro Max and Mate 90 RS.
The standard Mate 90 and Mate 90 Pro appear to share a circular, dual-ring camera design. Three large cutouts are positioned around the outer ring, with two on the sides and one at the bottom. The upper section contains an LED flash and two smaller openings, possibly intended for a color sensor and other imaging hardware. The center of the module remains empty, giving the arrangement a more symmetrical appearance.
The Mate 90 Pro Max uses a denser configuration while retaining the circular outline. Its template features four large openings, including a wider lateral cutout that could accommodate a periscope telephoto camera. Smaller sensors occupy the upper area, while the LED flash appears to have been moved toward the bottom of the module.
Huawei Mate 90 RS follows a broadly similar camera arrangement but places it inside the signature octagonal module associated with the company’s premium RS models. Its central area also features a vertical element instead of the large empty circle visible on the Pro Max template, giving the flagship a more distinctive visual identity.
The image appears to show accessories or manufacturing templates rather than the camera modules themselves, so it cannot confirm the phones’ final appearance. Huawei has yet to reveal the Mate 90 lineup officially, and the exact sensor specifications and design details should become clearer as the expected launch approaches.
